The 5th International Conference Workingonsafety.net will be held from 7-10 September 2010 in Røros, Norway.
WORKINGONSAFETY.NET is an international network of decision-makers, researchers and professionals responsible for the prevention of accidents and trauma at work. It is supported by the European Agency for Safety and Health at Work. WORKINGONSAFETY.NET wants to bring accident prevention experts together in order to facilitate the exchange of information and experience between different countries and sectors. It consists of an Internet platform, www.workingonsafety.net, and a biannual conference.

The main theme of the conference is ‘On the road to vision zero?’ Related to this topic, the main focus will be on the prevention of accidents at work, and especially on the understanding and prevention of occupational accidents; however, major accidents resulting in loss of lives and health in industry and transportation are also within the scope of the conference. The conferences aims at bringing together experts from four groups:
- Labour protection authorities and governmental decision makers in the area of labour protection strategies and enforcement
- Other policy makers who devise and implement regulation and control of safety hazards
- Safety professionals who give advise on how to assess, manage and improve risk control
- Safety researchers and educators who develop and evaluate new approaches for, and teach them to, both groups
